Minerville was employed at DeKalb Ag in the Seed Accounting Department for 20 years. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in DeKalb, and belonged to a church circle group. She was an avid bingo player. Minerville volunteered at the Salvation Army Food Pantry, served as an Election Judge for many years, and was a Cub Scout Leader for several years.
She is survived by her children, Robert (Pam) Larson of DeKalb, Agnes (Charles)Elliott of Belvidere, Donna (Jim) Kayes of DeKalb, and Genene Garner, of Athens, Ala.; 10 grandchildren, Bradley and Aaron Larson, Mike Garner, Kathy Richardson, Mike (Lisa) Elliot, Michelle (Steve) Bearrows, Mark (Tonya) Elliott, Sean, Andrew and Gregory Kayes, five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Howard (Jeannie) Oleson, Orlando, Fla.; and Merle (Ivy) Oleson of Rockford; two sisters, Stella (Fred) Kingson of Rochelle and Edith Ebens of Chana; and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur, in 1994; her granddaughter, Theresa Garner; and three brothers, Ordine, Gordon and Eugene Oleson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 19, at Trinity Lutheran Church in DeKalb, with Rev. Todd Peterson officiating. Burial will follow services at First Lutheran Church Cemetery in Lee. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 18 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Anderson Funeral Home, LTD, in DeKalb.
A memorial is being established for Minerville L. Larson in care of Anderson Funeral Home, LTD.
