Luke Dyar and Mrs. Dyar migrated to Cass Township, Clay County, Indiana in 1821 from North Carolina and are among some of the first burials at Dyar Cemetery which was laid out in 1830 and was the resting place of many of the areas earilest pioneers. Gravesite Details

The cemetery is on a mound in a farmers field. Even though it is overgrown and untended, it still remains with some marble headstones visible. The farmer that owns the field plants around it and has not disturbed the burial area in any way.
