Mrs. Mary Lee Beasley Sowell, 87, died Thursday, March 27, at Moss Oaks Nursing Home. Born in Bulloch County, Mrs. Sowell had lived in Port Wentworth and Richmond Hill before moving to Savannah. Mrs. Sowell retired from Lady Jane as a seamstress and was a member of the Immanuel of the Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie J. Sowell.

Survivors: three daughters, and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Thomas Lancaster of Richmond Hill, Yvonne and Harold Walker of Savannah, Merle and Joseph Campisi of Dixon, CA; three sisters, Ouida Strickland and Erma Farnsworth, both of Savannah and Helen Cook of Brandon, FL; three brothers, Gordon Beasley of Stone Mountain, Frank Beasley of Stilson and Hubert Beasley Savannah; 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, and a numaber of nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service: 2:00 P.M., Saturday, March 29 at the Thomas C. Strickland & Sons Funeral Home, West Chatham Chapel in Pooler.

Burial: Lanes Primitive Baptist Church in Stilson.

Remembrances: Hospice Savannah, PO Box 13190, Savannah, GA 31416.
