Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 6, 1990, for Charlotte F. Rieger, age 53, of Aberdeen, at the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Ipswich. Fr. Marvin McPhee officiating. Burial was in the Holy Cross Cemetery.

The Hein Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Charlotte F. (Hoerner) Rieger was born October 6, 1936 at Mitchell, S.D. She attended Holy Cross School and Ipswich High School, graduating the class of 1955.

On April 19, 1956 she married to Raymond Rieger at the Holy Cross Church in Ipswich, by her uncle, Monsignor Henry Hoerner.

They made their home in Aberdeen since then, except for two years they lived in New Orleans, La. While Ray was in the service. Her health began to fail several years ago. She suffered from diabetes, and had been blind for the past four years. In October, 1988, she became a resident at the Aberdeen Living Center.

She passed away at St. Luke's Hospital in Aberdeen on Friday, Feb. 2, 1990. She attained the age of 53 years, Three months, and 26 days.

She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Aberdeen, and the Altar Society.

Pallbearers were Rueben, Edmund, Alan, and Kelly Rieger, Gene Graves, and Larry Brunnmaier. The usher was Gary Haar. Minnie Hammrich was the organist.

Charlotte is survived by her husband, Ray, of 220 N. Lloyd, Aberdeen; two sons, Richard, of Aberdeen, and Lawrence (Larry), of Rapid City; two daughters, Carla Galvin, of Mesa, Ariz., and Carol Marie Rieger, of Sioux Falls, S.D.; three grandchildren; and her parents Florence and Leo Hoerner, of Ipswich, S.D.
