Donald Lee Phillips, 33, of Nicholasville, died suddenly Tuesday, June 21, in an automobile accident he was in with his uncle Clarence Meece, and a friend, Essie Miller.

Donnie was born February 16, 1955, in Jefferson County, the son of the late Paul and Edna Mae (Meece) Phillips. He was a self-employed mechanic.

Survivors include his wife Vivian Kendrick Phillips, whom he married on September 18, 1975; two children, Donnie Lee and Shala Louise Phillips both at home; a brother, Paul Phillips Jr., Nicholsville; and a sister, Sallie Fayrene Worley, Lexington.

Joint services with Clarence Meece will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 25, at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home with the Reverand Emmett Lanham officiating. Burial was in the Meece Cemetery. Visitation will be after 6 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home.
