Eleanor was a lifelong resident of Montcalm County, her final years being spent mostly in Millbrook Township.
Eleanor was survived by four daughters, ten grandchildren, eighteen great-grandchildren; seven great-great grandchildren and many, many loving friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Edith, her husband James, a daughter Leatrice Badgley, a great-grand daughter, Meaghan Burns; a son-in-law, Roger Hoard and her siblings; Julia Mackie, Norman and Marion Hansen, Martha Fancher and Edith Fancher.
Eleanor and James were married on November 18, 1939 in Blanchard, Isabella County, Michigan.
Eleanor was a lifelong member of the New Life United Methodist Church. She enjoyed being with family, making quilts and sewing.
