Roscoe, 87 of Barton City, MI, formerly of Dansville, passed away at Marwood Manor Nursing & Rehab in Port Huron on Friday morning. Mr. Wheeler the son of Euene A. & Bernice (Godley) Wheeler.

He graduated from Dansville High School and was the first 18 year old drafted for WWII out of Ingham County. He served in the Army in the tank destroyer battalion where he was awarded 4 bronze stars. Upon returning home he married Caroline Jane in Marine City on February 25, 1949.

Mr. Wheeler was a self-employed pipe organ mechanic and was a member of the Curran United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his son, Wayne (Sandi) Wheeler of Williamston, 2 grandchildren, Christopher Wheeler of Williamston and Maria Smith of Port Huron.

He was predeceased by his wife, Caroline this past March, son Michael and his parents.

There was no service as his body was donated to Michigan State University.
