ABERDEEN YOUTH DIES IN BOWDLE

Aberdeen Daily News (SD) – October 15, 1936

Bernard L. Madden, 28, of Aberdeen, died at a Bowdle hospital Tuesday. Cause of death was said to be heart disease.

He was born in Adrian, Minn., in 1908. He attended school in Aberdeen and after graduating from high school attended Columbus college, Sioux Falls. He had been employed by the Aberdeen Glass company.

Funeral services will be held at the St. Mary's church at 9 a.m. today with Father Schell officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary's cemetery.

He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James J. Madden, Aberdeen; four brothers, James, Aberdeen; Steven, Martin, Billings; John, Butte; five sisters, Mrs. Martha Hoerner, Bowdle; Mrs. Catherine Nielsen, Genevieve, McLaughlin, Mrs. Agnes Teske, Aberdeen, and uncle Edward Rash, Billings and Mrs. Joe Kestel.
