Shirley Ann Linton Fisher, 59, of Callaway, died on Thursday, July 7, 2011, after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Alvin Linton Sr. and Lucy Mable Blankenship; and a sister, Jo Ann Marie Linton. She was employed at Lowe's as a Customer Service Associate and was an avid horsewoman who rode grand champions. She is survived by her sons, Tony Darnell Fisher and Kenneth Ray Fisher; grandchildren, Tony Darnell Anders, Aaron Michael Fisher, and Kenneth Sebastian Fisher; a great-grandchild, Cameron Anders; her brother, Frank Alvin Linton Jr., of Roanoke; and two sisters, Barbara Jean Maxey (Edward), and Linda Joyce Carter (Gene), both of Salem. She will be sadly missed by her best friend/constant companion, Tim Boylan and her beloved dog, Diva. Services will be held at noon on Monday, July 11, 2011, at Oakey's South Chapel on Brambleton Ave. The Rev. Shawn Tanner, Pastor of Green Hill Church of the Brethren, will officiate. After a committal Service at Sherwood Abbey, interment will follow in Sherwood Memorial Park. Friends may visit at Oakey's South Chapel on Sunday July 10, 2011, from 10 a.m. until noon, from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 6 to 8 p.m. "She was a kind, sincere and devoted lady, whose smiling face brought joy to those she touched."
