Dies at Hospital, Where He Went Two Weeks Ago for Treatment
Chalres Monroe Baker, aged 66 years, 11 months, 23 days, died this morning at the Henry Heywood Memorial hospital, where he was taken two weeks ago for treatment. He had been in poor health for more than a year.
Mr. Baker was born in Gardner, the son of Sumner and Samantha (Bemis) Baker, and had lived in town all his life. Up to several years he was employed by Brown Bros, but of late years he had worked at odd jobs. He leaves a widow, who was Minnie Heywood.
The funeral will take place Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock at his late home, 351 West roadway. Rev. Burton S. Gilman will officiate and burial will be in Green Bower cemetery.
