Carolyn Elizabeth (Fuchs) Anthony, born April 15, 1925, passed away on May 17, 2011. She was a native of Mobile and a long-time resident of Cypress Shores. Mrs. Anthony attended Theodore High School, where she was known for her attractiveness and beautiful singing voice. She later attended Huffstedtler Business College in Mobile. In 1946, she married an Air Force pilot, George Anthony, and traveled the United States with him, living in Alaska during the early 50's. They had one daughter, Gail (Anthony) Critchley. She loved music, especially classical and big band, and enjoyed nature, interests she passed on to her daughter. She especially enjoyed attending her daughter's piano lessons and concerts and was a devoted mother, military wife and homemaker. She will be remembered for her generosity, kindness and unalterable faithfulness to those she loved. Mrs. Anthony was preceded in her passing, by her parents, Rosalie(Busby) Fuchs and Louis H. Fuchs, George W. Anthony, Lt. Col, USAF ret., and a sister, Alura Morris of Spanish Fort. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Gail and Ron Critchley of Oakland, CA, a sister Alice May of Glenns Ferry, Idaho and her beloved cousins, Leta and Douglas Kroner of Mobile. She was laid to rest next to her father in Mobile Memorial Gardens on May 19, 2011 but she will live on in our hearts until we meet again.
