Mike served in the United States Army, and throughout his life was involved in various business ventures as a successful restaurateur, club owner, political activist, real estate consultant, and the owner of his own production company. Mike owned successful restaurants, such as The Last Resort and the Fisherman, and was owner of North Jersey's most prestigious disco club, Creation. Mike also had his hand in production having produced shows for various entertainers, including Bob Hope,and for the film industry. Throughout his life, Mike loved his country and was heavily involved in the North Jersey politics, having served as campaign manager for various politicians, and also as Chief of staff to State Senator Anthony Imperiale.In 2003 he was a major help in getting Councilman Kevin G. Kennedy back on the council in Belleville NJ. He was involved in the development of large real estate projects in the City of Newark. Mike loved dearly his daughter, Alex who was his whole world and his loving companion Evelyn E. Laccitiello
