COLLINS Ruth Elizabeth Collins, 88, Cathedral Towers, Jacksonville, widow of the late Thomas S. Collins, passed away Monday, February 10, 2003, at Quality Health Nursing Home. A native of Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of the late William Henry Rigby and Anna Mae Spriggs Rigby. Mrs. Collins was a homemaker, and a member of St. Johns Episcopal Church in Jacksonville. She was a volunteer leader for the Cathedral Towers, and helped establish Guardian Angels, the Floor Captain Program and the Bus Transportation Program, and assisted in numerous other projects and fund-raisers for Cathedral Towers. Survivors include: a son, Mike (Dotty) Collins, Fernandina Beach; three grandchildren, Sean (Jenny) Collins, St. Augustine, FL, Michael (Julie) Collins, Tifton, GA, and Chad Collins, Fernandina Beach; and two great-grandchildren, Devon Michael Collins and Taylor Anne Collins. Private interment services will be held on Wednesday at Arlington Park Cemetery with Reverend Father John D. Riley officiating. A memorial service is scheduled for Thursday at 2 PM at the Cathedral Towers. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cathedral Foundation, 4250 Lakeside Drive, Jacksonville, FL 32210.
