She married Lars "Lewis" Rasmussen on May 17,1879 in Olathe Kansas. By 1900 they had 7 children. Mable Josephine born 1881, Albert Edward born 1883, Nellis May born 1885, Charles Oscar born 1888, Nettie Amanda born 1892, Anna Hilda born 1894, and William Lewis born 1896. In 1880 they were living in Gardner,Johnson, Kansas. Lars brother was living with them. After about 1900 they had moved to Coffey County living in Avon,Ks and later on they moved to Burlington,KS. Her husband Lars was born in Denmark. This must have been quite a marriage as Denmark and Sweden have always had conflicts with each other in history.
Anna Marie Swensons parents were Karl Swenson (1824-1878) and Christie Nilson (1827-1899). Karl Swenson her dad passed away in Olathe Kansas. Her mom died in Bushong,KS twenty one years later. Bushong Kansas is now listed as a ghost town. It was named after a famous at the time baseball player.
