Alton C. Annabel, 82, of 31
Howard Street, South Waverly,
died Sunday, April 11, 1993, at
home.
Born Jan. 2, 1911, in Waverly,
he was the son of Charles K, and
Florn L. Lang Annabel.
A resident of South Waverly for
51 years, he was a member of its
fire department. He was also a
member of the Waverly, N.Y., Fire
Department.
A truck driver, he was employed
by Eastern Freightways for 26
years, retiring in 1966.
He and his wife, the former
Martha R. Brown, were married 59
years.
Surviving besides his wife are
two sons, Charles and Stuart, both
of Sayre; seven daughters, Doris
Wilkinson of Athens, Donna
Tallman of Hughesville, Beenita
Annabel of South Waverly, Beverly
Moore of Mansfield, Clara Larrabee
of Waverly, N.Y., Marilyn Jungers
of San Jose, Calif., and Sandra
Burk of tewistowu, uiie brother,
Milton Annabel of Ocala, Fla.; one
sister, Bernetta Clark of Schenectady,
N.Y.; 36 grandchildren; 28
great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Lowery
Funeral Home, 275 South Main
St., Athens, on Wednesday, April
14, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Services will be held there
Thursday, April 15, at 1 p.m., with
George Lee officiating.
Burial will be made at North
Flat Cemetery, Laceyville
