Ada May Beshey was born in Woolstock on November 26, 1888 to Frank and Jane Claude Beshey. She was one of ten children born to the couple. She grew up on farms near Woolstock, Iowa. She married Arthur Ozies Boughton on June 3, 1907. A.O. as he was known had been born in Woolstock and the couple farmed west of Woolstock for a number of years. The couple had two children. Their first child Kenneth was born in 1908 and Hazel was born in 1909. Ada passed away on November 6, 1912.
The children were just four and three years old. Ada’s parents, Frank and Jane Beshey took in the children and raised them. Arthur did not marry again until, 1929 so the children stayed with their grandparents.
