Floyd B. Williams, 71, of Idaho Falls, died September 11, 2007, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
He was born April 25, 1936, in Idaho Falls, to Benjamin E. Williams and Marian Brown Williams. He grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Idaho Falls High School. He received a bachelor's degree from Wichita State University. He served in the U.S. Air Force as a first lieutenant.
He was a band director in the high schools and worked as an accountant.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed music, genealogy, hunting, fishing, camping and working on the computer. Floyd loved people and especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
Survivors include his children, David Vaughan Williams of Unionsville, Connecticut, Laura Ann Williams of Spokane, Washington, and Linda Marie McNeil of Marian Station, Maryland; sister, Secella Ellsworth of Litchfield Park, Arkansas; and eight grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 15, at the Ammon LDS 2nd/11th Ward, 1100 S. Tiebreaker Drive, with Bishop Sheldon Dance of the Crestwood Ward officiating. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park, with military rites performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team. Arrangements are under the direction of Wood Funeral Home of Idaho Falls.
