THOMPSONVILLE -- Dalton Dossie Lotus Gourley, 13, passed away at 3:06 p.m. Saturday, July 9, 2011, in Heartland Regional Medical Center.

Services will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, 2011, in Blue Funeral Home in Marion. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the fu-neral home.

Memorials may be made to Marion Youth Football program. Envelopes will be made available at the Blue Funeral Home.

Dalton is survived by his mother, Kandra Gourley and father, Darrell Peppers; father, Sean Bethel and fiancée, Heather Habeeb; brother, Dustin Peppers; maternal grandparents, Stanley and Patsy Gourley; and great-grandmother, Lucille Gourley; his paternal grandmother, Caroline Peppers and grandmother Eloise Rainey; uncles, Michael Norris, Richard Gursky, John Bethel, and James Bethel; aunts, Jolene Gourley, Rena Gurksy, Tina Gursky, Linda Carroll, Cande Bethel-Maloney and Camilla Bethel-Stacey; cousins, Austin Gourley, Aaron Gourley, Kristen Gurksy, Kourtney Gurksy, Josie Gursky, Bryan Gursky, Jonah Shaw, Justin Peppers, Samantha Peppers, Dakota Peppers, Brittany Chin, Shane Hinson, Shelsy Brown, Joshua Bethel, Jeremy Bethel, Amanda Bethel, Miranda Driskell, Ryan Driskell and Kaeyah Chin.

He is also survived by his best friend, Keonte Keys.

Dalton is preceded in death by his paternal grandfathers, James Bethel and Cliff Yates; his great-grandparents, Dossie Gourley, and JT and Martha Carrigan; and uncles, Daniel Dossie Gourley and Jimmie Booth.

Dalton attended the Lincoln Grade School previously and was currently a student at the Marion Jr. High School. He enjoyed playing Marion Youth Football and riding his four-wheeler. His other hobbies included fishing, boating, golfing, video games, Hotrods, and riding roller coasters.
