It is a conundrum as to whether to list her name as Mae Caroline or Caroline Mae (which is her given name), or Caroline May which is on her wedding invitation. She evidently did not go by Caroline, but rather by Mae. This author will leave it as Caroline Mae as is indicated on her stone.

A very pretty wedding took place at the home of J. A. Goldner when Miss Mae was joined in marriage with Montrose Buxton at 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 21, Rev. Fawcett, officiating. Bessie Livingston played the wedding march. The bride looked lovely in blue trimmed with white silk. After the ceremony and congratulations were over, about sixty guests sat down to a bountiful repast. There were numerous beautiful presents for the newly wedded pair.
