Died: Harding T. Tucker, an old veteran of the Civil War, at his home this morning, February 1924, about 3 o'clock, after an extended illness, aged 79 years. He was a volunteer, 1st Sergeant of Co. E, 13th Kentucky Infantry. He was well known and highly respected. The funeral will be held Sunday morning.

Hardin Thomas Tucker died, Friday, February 22, 1924. He was born March 9, 1845. When he was 16 years old, he volunteered as a soldier in defense of the Union. He was a sergeant in the Company of Capt. N.F. Twyman, Company E 13 KY Infantry. He was given an honorable discharge at Louisville, KY, January 12, 1865.

He married Miss Nannie Moore who died at New Haven, KY July 1, 1880. His second marriage was to Miss Fannie Moore August 31, 1881 she died at Greensburg, KY, July 1, 1880. His third marriage was to Miss Corrilla J. Moore at his home in Greensburg, KY, November 14, 1907.

He is survived by his widow and 4 children. E.P. Tucker, Mrs. Mattie White of Greensburg. J.J. Tucker and Mrs. Carrie Calhoon of Minneola, KS. His daughter Mrs. Kate Blakeman and son W.M. Tucker died several years ago, each of whom left 2 children, namely Mrs. Fannie Montgomery of Hodgenville and Milton Blakeman of Minneola, KS, children of Mrs. Kate Blakeman. Mrs. Nannie L. Kessler and Zelma T. Tucker, children of W.M. Tucker both of Kansas.

He was a brother to Capt. E.F. Tucker who is present Department Commander of the Grand Army of the Republic in the State of Kentucky. Also a brother to Mrs. Mollie M. Tucker of Greensburg. His funeral was held on Sunday morning February 24.
