Mr. Roy Lee "Blinkie" Tucker, 58, of 215 Taylor Avenue in Campbellsville, son of the late Percy Tucker and Mattie Jameson Tucker, was born in Green County, August 22, 1909. He died suddenly Wednesday night, July 17. For many years he was in the plumbing business in Campbellsville and Taylor County. Mr. Tucker was a member of the Greensburg Baptist Church and a Veteran of World War II. He united in marriage to Miss Sarah Miller, September 6, 1930, and to this union three daughters and four sons were born: Tommy, William and Mrs. Margaret Ann Mudd all of Campbellsville; Bobby Lee Tucker of Louisville; Mrs. Sue Catherine Buck of New Albany, Indiana; and S/Sgt. James R. Rucker with the U.S. Air Force stationed at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, Ohio and Mrs. Mary Jo Elmore of St. Louis, Missouri. Besides his wife and children, he is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 2 brothers, Rhea Tucker of Greensburg and Percy Tucker of Miami, Florida. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 20th in the Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home. The Rev. Landon Hadley officiated. Burial was in Greensburg Cemetery. Pallbearers were Joe Waggener, Thornton Newcomb, Oscar Eggers, Dennis Smith, Clifton Furkins and Bill Mudd.
