Robert "Robby" Edwin Hale, age 46, died Monday, July 4, 2011 at Pickwick Lake while saving the lives of others. He was born March 18, 1965 in Tupelo to the late Ralph Hale and Mary Helen Harris Hale. He was an insurance agent for Farm Bureau in New Albany. He was a member of the Ingomar Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher. He coached golf for Ingomar High School. He loved hunting, fishing, the lake, riding his motorcycle with his wife, watching and coaching his children in sports.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years Lisa Cobb Hale of New Albany, two daughters Ashley Jo Hale and Molly Claire Hale both of New Albany, a son Matthew Edwin Hale of New Albany, his mother Mary Helen Hale of New Albany, a brother Robert "Bobby" Lewellen (Amelia) of Raleigh, NC.
He was preceded in death by his father Ralph Hale.
Pallbearers will be Scott Maxey, Buddy Dixon, Larry Roberts, Mark Pannell, Chris Basil, and Keith Shirley. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of the Ingomar Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made through the Ingomar Baptist Church for his niece Terri and Steve Robinson's ministry in Nicaragua, The Association of Baptists for World Evangelism.
Burial will be in the Ingomar Cemetery.
