Jimmy McGee was the son of James Edwin McGee and Bettye Kirkpatrick McGee. He was married to Mary Jane Rye McGee and the father of Kimberly McGee. Jimmy served in the Air Force during the Vietman War and also coached football and baseball in the Walker Co. school system for many years.
