WINNIE GLADYS MEEKINS BRANTLEY, 93, of Manteo, died Saturday, September 24, 1994, in a Chesapeake, VA hospital. Mrs. Brantley was a native of Roanoke Island, Dare County, NC, and a homemaker. She was a member of the Roanoke Island Baptist Church. Mrs. Brantley was the daughter of the late Charles Pettigrew Meekins and Mrs. Winnie Dowdy Meekins and the widow of Thomas Wilson Brantley. Mrs. Brantley is survived by a son, Norman Earl Brantley of Manteo and was preceded in death by her son Claude Warren Brantley.
