Noah M. Miller

Noah M. Miller, 86, of Ellettsville, died Tuesday at his residence.

Born Nov. 20, 1901, in Monroe County, he was the son of Elijah and Lydia (Arney) Miller. He was a retired headgang sawyer with McNeeley Stone Company. He was a member of North Central Church of Christ and the Mill Workers Local 69 Union.

Survivors include his wife, Janie (Meadows) Miller of Ellettsville; one daughter, Ellen Ranard of Ellettsville; three sons, Robert Miller of Bloomington, Charles Miller of Louisville, and Paul Miller of Ellettsville; 10 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and seven brothers.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Allen Funeral Home, with Brother Oliver Rogers officiating. Burial will be in Valhalla Memory Gardens in Bloomington.

Friends may call 3-9 p.m. today at the funeral home and from noon until the services begin Thursday.
