NAMPA (Special) - John S. Stredder of Knowlton Heights died early this morning at a local hospital. He had been ill since last October. Funeral arrangements have not yet been made. The body is at the Talley funeral home in Nampa.
Surviving Mr. Stredder, who was 84, are his widow and 12 children. His children are Mrs. Rudy Henry of Jackson, Wyo., Mrs. Laura Watts of Long Valley, Fred Stredder of Homedale, Mrs. Grace Newman of Warren, John Stredder of Weiser, Mrs. Goldie Dalton of Nampa, Charles Stredder of Wilder; Dewey Stredder of Long Valley, Mrs. Fay Phillips of Boise, Mrs. Lavera Bell of Alaska, Mrs. Leona Larsen of the Gem District and George Stredder of Knowlton Heights. Twenty-seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren also survive.
Mr. Stredder was a pioneer rancher and stockman. He came west at the age of 10. He lived in Utah for a number of years and came to Idaho in 1897 when he settled near American Falls. Later he lived at Long Valley and for the last 17 years he has been residing at Knowlton Heights.
