Age 78, son of the late Peter Eisert and Frieda Koehler Eisert Bruno.

A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Eisert was employed as a laborer with Erie Meter Systems, now Geosource, for 24 years. He also was a route salesman for Sterling Milk Co. He was a member of the American Legion Carl Neff Post 571, past president of the Erie County Sportmen's League and past president of South Erie Turners. He was an avid bowler.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Ralph Bruno; three brothers, Clarence, Jerome and Joseph Eisert; and a sister, Agnes Kuehner.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. James (Carol) Hermann of Erie and Mrs. Richard (Margaret "Peggy") Becker of Harborcreek; three sons, James Eisert Jr. of Wesleyville and Dennis and Richard Eisert of Harborcreek; two brothers, Harold Eisert of Erie and Robert Bruno of West Seneca, N.Y.; a sister, Donna Mae Boling of Erie; and 14 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Entombment will be in Erie County Memorial Gardens Mausoleum, with full military honors.
