K. W. Allison, Jr, 79 of Mendenhall, MS, passed away Monday, July 11, 2011 at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland. Funeral services will be at 1pm, Wednesday, July 13, at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mendenhall, with burial in Mendenhall City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5pm until 9pm, Tuesday, July 12, at Colonial Chapel in Mendenhall.
Mr. Allison was a loving husband, father, and grandfather with a generous heart for others.
He was preceded in death by his parents, K. W. (June) Allison, Sr. and Hattie Welch Allison, and 1 Sister, Dorothy Allison Gatlin.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Mary Jo Allison of Mendenhall, 1 Son, Ken Allison of Mendenhall, 1 Daughter, Tammy Allison Brown and her husband Scott of Madison, and 3 Grandchildren, Kalle Allison of Huntsville, AL, Brett and Josh Brown of Madison.
Serving as pallbearers are Teddy Jack Mullins, Kenny Herrington, Tommy Lee, Larry Sullivan, Dick Welch and Scott Brown.
