Mrs. Frank Gamel, 79, died at 8:30 p.m. Tuesday night at the home of her son, William, following a long illness. Mrs. Gamel's maiden name was Nina Wright.
She was born Jan. 9, 1875, at Morning Sun, Iowa, and taught school in Nebraska before she was married to Frank Gamel at Rio, Jan. 1 1896.
Five children were born to the Gamels, four of whom survive, William, Alpha; Mrs. Florence Coleman, Victoria; Mrs. Clara Hutson, DeLong, and Laurence of Isanti, Minn. A daughter, Mrs. Elsie Dahlstrom, died September 1953. Mrs. Gamel is also survived by 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
The body was taken to the Wallin-Knox Funeral Chapel at Woodhull. Funeral services will be held at the Rio Presbyterian Church Friday at 2 p.m. The Rev. John Clarke, pastor of Cambridge Methodist Church, will be in charge.
Burial will be in the Rio Cemetery.
