CRESAPTOWN,MARYLAND -- Kathryn Virginia (Naugle) Greer, 85, of Cresaptown, died Sunday, Dec. 14, 1997, at the Arbors Nursing Home, Marietta, Ohio.
Born March 13, 1912, in College Hill, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Frank Seeley and Mary Bell (Poole) Naugle. She also was preceded in death by her husband William B. Greer on April 4, 1978; two brothers, Andrew and Raymond; and three sisters, Jenny, Olive May and Harriett.
Mrs. Greer was a retired operator from Bell Telephone. She was a member of the Park Place United Methodist Church, the Women's Society of the church, the church flower committee, and the Cresaptown Senior Citizens.
Surviving are three daughters, Carol Gray and husband Skip, Oldtown, Md., Naomi Holt and husband Richard, LaVale, and Dorothy Putman and husband Ben, Marietta; one son, Richard Greer and wife Renee, Wichita Falls, Texas; one sister, Janet Yandell, Glen Willard, Pa.; three brothers, Frank Naugle and wife Delores, Sherman Oaks, Calif., James Naugle and wife Betty, Cottage Grove, Ore., and John Naugle and wife Doris, Beaver Falls, Pa.; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Hafer Chapel of the Hills Mortuary, 1302 National Highway, LaVale, on Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.
Services will be conducted in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Lowell Garland officiating.
Interment will follow in the Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
