He was born June 30, 1934, in Myton, Utah, to Ellsworth William and Arloia Jones Cox. He married Judy K. Puckett on September 15, 1967, in Murray, Utah, and were later sealed in the Provo LDS Temple. He worked for Ogdens Carpet Outlet since its opening in Utah. He was a member of the LDS Church, where he was a high priest.He is survived by his wife, Judy of West Valley; children, Helene (Kevin) Heywood and Michelle (Robert) Maughan, both of Magna, Glenda (Kenneth) Smith of Magill, NV., Coy Jay (Lenee) Cox of Draper, Andrew Willard Cox of West Valley; mother, Arloia Cox of Myton; sisters, Elma (Loren) Broadhead, Helen (Vern) Wilde, Illinia Wood, Judy (Stan) Anderson, Claudia (Dale) Kemp; brothers, Floyd (Jean) Cox, Clarence (Connie) Cox, Larry (Judy) Cox; and 20 grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his father, Ellsworth William Cox and brother, Alvin Cox.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 21, 1997, at 12 noon at the Granger West 5th Ward, 3300 South 4440 West. Friends may call at Valley View Funeral Home, 4335 West 4100 South, from 6-8 p.m. on Monday evening and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
