Funeral services were held 8 July at thr Simonet Funeral Chapel in Little Falls with Rev R E Bolling officiating. Burial was in the Fort Snelling Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Geraldine was born 5 July 1932 in Minnewaukan, North Dakota to the late Walter and Mabel (Erickson) Hahn.
She grew up and attended school in Minnewaukan prior to enlisting in the U S Air Force on 26 June 1951.She received an honorable discharge on 2 June 1954.
Geraldine was united in marriage to 1st Lt. Bobbie Clay Franks on 8 May 1954 , at the Andrews Air Force Base in Washington D C. Bobbie was killed on 16 June 1954 at Great Falls Mont., where they were stationed.
Geraldine then married Philip Mayer on 3 Oct 1956 in Watertown, South Dakota. They lived most of their married life in Page, North Dakota before moving to Randall, Minn., in 1962.
Survivors include her husband, Philip of Randall, her mother Mabel Hahn of Tioga, N.D., her sons, Gary and his wife Robin of Randall, Tom and his wife Carol of Cushing, a daughter, Mrs Jeff (Cindy) Bartle of Motley, her brothers, Duane Hahn of Temple, Tx., Gerald of Grand Forks, N.D. and Donald of Dallas, Tx., two sisters, Lois Grabowski of Pennsylvania and Mavis Hoffman of Minnewaukan N.D., three grandchildren, Amanda, Rick and Cody Mayer. She was preceded in death by one sister.
