Allen"Bink"R.Bingham,67,of Sioux City died Thursday Jan.7,1999 at a Sioux City hospital following a sudden illness.Services will be 1p.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church,with Rev.Bruce Lawler officiating.Burial in Graceland Park Cemetery.Visitation will be 2-8:30 p.m. Sunday with a vigil service at 7 p.m.followed by a flag presentation by the Marine Corp League,at Berkemier Funeral Home.Mr.Bingham was born June 4,1931 in Sioux City,the son of Al and Violet(Moon)Bingham.He attended Sioux City Public schools.He enlisted in the Marine Corps in 1947,and served with the 7th Marine in China in 1949,Korea "Bloody George"Frist Marines,and VetNam Frist Marine Air Wings.He was a gunnery sergeant and was awarded the Purple Heart Medal.He returned to Sioux City in 1991.He was currently driving bus for Sacred Heart School.Survivors include her mother Violet Welch of Sioux City;four sisters,Mrs.Bob(Joyce)Bussell of Minn.,Mrs.Audrey Rossow of Sioux City.,Mrs.Ray(Patricia)McMahan of Sioux City.,Mrs.Chuck(Lorriane)Shortt of Calif.;a brother and his wife,Jack and Pat Welch of Calif.;many nieces and nephews.Preceded in death by his father,a brother,Bill Welch.
