Johnie Curtis Murray, 77, of Russellville, Ala., went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 27, 2008. Mr. Murray was a native of Russellville, Ala., and a member of Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church. He was born Sept. 18, 1930, to Moman and Vina Kimbrough Murray in Franklin County.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nettie Sue Murray.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Arrie Murray and wife, Vickie, Russellville, Curtis Murray and wife, Candy, Birmingham; daughter, Sue Ann Jones and husband, David, Phil Campbell; sister, Marciel Waldrop, Russellville; brother, Harley Murray, Russellville; brother-in-law, James Wimberly, Rogersville; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville. The funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, July 31, 2008, at Pinkard Funeral Home chapel, with burial in Bethlehem Cemetery. Officiating will be Brother Stanley Hargett and Brother Willard Saint.

Pallbearers will be the grandsons.

Pinkard Funeral Home, Russellville, will be directing.
