Reuben Hilliard Hardwick, 68, of Fort Smith died Friday, July 8, 2011, in a Little Rock hospital. He was a retired Army veteran.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday at New Covenant International Christian Center with burial 11 a.m. Monday at the U.S. National Cemetery in Fort Smith under the direction of Rowell-Parish Mortuary.

He is survived by his wife, Veronica; five daughters, Regina Hardwick and Yonnetta Ford, both of Alexandria, Va., Yolanda Hardwick of Gaithersburg, Md., Rebecca Smoot of Woodbridge, Va. and LaMonica Burnett of Fort Smith; three sisters, Florence Dobbs of Kileen, Texas, Glenda Richmond of Washington, D.C., and Helen Edwards of Temple Hill, Md.; a brother, Howard Hardwick of Albuquerque, N.M.; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Jody Sinclair, Ersie and Harold Kinnard, Bobby Lee, Jonathan Burnett and Oliver Willis
