Anna Catherine Crouse was born in Fort Dodge, Webster County, Iowa to Civil War Veteran William Henry Crouse and Cecelia Louise Smith Crouse.

She was the seventh of fifteen children. Her brothers and sisters were: John Tysin, Cora Alice, Franklin Aaron and Aaron Franklin (identical twins), Charles Lee, George Lafayette, James Garfield, Mary Rebecca, Eugene Harold, Dora S., Lillian Elizabeth, Daniel Gerhardt, Edna Mae and Henry Dealton Crouse.

She grew up in Washington Township near Duncombe, Iowa.

She married Lucian Dempster Walker on July 17, 1901. They were the parents of Floyd Dealton, Glen Deforster, Eleanor Wilma, Eugene Dempster, Francis Erwin and Orville Seward Walker.

Anna died at age 81 years, 15 days of coronary thrombosis. Her husband had died on September 27, 1947, so she was widowed. Her son, Francis E, was left in charge of her affairs. She had last lived in Billings, MT. One of her sisters, Cora Crouse Moessner, also lived in Billings as is also buried in this cemetery. Her parents and several siblings are buried at Washington Twp Cemetery, Duncombe, Iowa.
