In the very summer of life Mrs. August Eberhardt succumbed to the deadly
disease of appendicitus (sp) and at nine o'clock this morning went Home
to her eternal rest. Decreased a week ago was operated upon at Holy Family
Hospital, a last heroic remedy for the deathly malady, which however
proved of no avail, for the lady sank steadily and finally her soul took
its flight. She was thirty-six years of age and is survived by a husband
and a family of five children, who reside in the town of Newton. She is a
daughter of M. Wernecke and was born and brought up in the country while
her husband is a son of Fred Eberhardt of this city. The funeral will take
place Saturday from the home of the decreased, Rev. Romoser officiating.
