Walter C. Hosburg, 45, died Thursday afternoon in Buffalo following a brief illness. Born in Story, he had lived in the Sheridan and Story communities all his life, moving to Buffalo last May.
Hosburg was a member of the Methodist church, the Odd Fellows Lodge No. 19, IOOF, and the Fraternal Order of Eagles.
He was a paint contractor by trade.
Hosburg is survived by the widow, Mrs. Rema L. Hosburg of Buffalo; a son and daughter, Gwendolyn and Gregory of Buffalo; two brothers, Edward of Buffalo and Fred of Story; four sisters, Mrs. George Brundage, and Mrs. Rose Harvey of Story; Mrs. E. L. Diener and Mrs. Lula Eychaner of Sheridan. His father, Fred Hosburg died in 1935, and his mother on June 30, 1947.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 11, at 2 p.m. from Reed's drawing room with Rev. C. Bennett Ware and the Odd Fellows Lodge officiating.
