Richard Lee Golightly, 70, 1212 1st. Ave. S.W., a World War II Veteran and retired pipe fitter, died Wednesday at his home of natural causes. Funeral services will be at 11:15 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Rosary will be at 7 p.m. Sunday at the O'Connor Memorial Chapel. Memorials are suggested to St. Joseph's Church.
Golightly was born April 13, 1923 in Smithland, Ky. He graduated from high school in New Smyrna Beach, Fla.
On Sept. 2, 1944, he married Constance N. Galvin.
Golightly served in the Army Air Corps during World War II as a flight engineer at Gore Field in Great Falls.
He also worked as a pipe fitter for many years, serving as construction foreman on many building sites across Montana until retiring in 1984.
He served as a bell ringer at St. Joseph's Catholic Church for many years. Golightly also was a charter member of the Montana Cowboys Association.
Surviving are his wife of Great Falls;, two daughters, Kathleen B. Crepeau of Great Falls and Judith A. Bell of Gillette, Wyo.; a son Randolph R. Golightly of Great Falls; 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.
