Mrs. Gussa Norma "Jackie" Burgess, 89, of Bancroft went home to be with the Lord on July 14, 2011, in Thomas Memorial Hospital.
Jackie was a member of Bancroft Church of God Mission.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Burl Burgess.
She is survived by her son, Fred and wife, Peggy Burgess, of Bancroft; two grandchildren, Jacob and wife, Amanda Burgess, of Rock Branch and Beth and husband, Adam Ford, of Red House; two great-grandsons, A.J. and Anthony; and a host of other family and friends.
A tribute to the life of Mrs. Burgess will be 2 p.m. Sunday, July 17, at Bancroft Church of God Mission with Pastor Dr. James Legg and Frank Allen officiating.
Burial will follow in New Antioch Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the church.
