He was born on March 19, 1937 in Hallton, PA, a son of the late Harry M. and Ruby (Simmerline) Lindsey.
Mr. Lindsey was employed as a tractor-trailer and coal truck driver and was a member of the New Castle Community Church.
He is survived by his wife, Eva C. (Welch) Lindsey, whom he married July 15, 2000 in the New Castle Community Church, Ashland.
Three children, Clyde R. Lindsey II, Vandergrift; Laura L. Lindsey, Vandergrift; Donna Lindsey, Vandergrift a brother and three sisters, Harry Lindsey, Emporium; Mary Himes, Ridgway; Margaret Himes, Youngsville; Frances Haskins, Emporium and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers John F. and Wendell U. Lindsey.
