Ella Mae Bugbee, 71, of Mt. Pleasant, died Thursday, Jan. 19, 1995, at her home.

Funeral services are scheduled 1 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant with the Rev. Daniel Currie officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church.

She was born May 27, 1923, in Mt. Pleasant to Charles Baker and Elizabeth W. (Pierson) Baker. She married Wallace L. Bugbee on Apr. 9, 1950, at the First Baptist Church in Mt. Pleasant.

A lifetime resident of the area, Mrs. Bugbee worked at the SBX for 23 years, retiring in 1988. Prior to that, she worked for Coles Campus Store, and the College Inn. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Wallace of Mt. Pleasant; three sisters, Jane VanHorn of Mt. Pleasant, Mary K. Axsom and her husband, Chuck of Tucson, Ariz., and Shirley Baker of Mt. Pleasant, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Robert Baker, and a sister, Dorothy Helen Baker.
