The funeral service took place Saturday Feb. 25, at 1:30 p.m. from the Robert D. Heath Funeral Home, Mount Union, with the Rev. Elaine P. Africa officiating. Interment was made in the Mount Union IOOF Cemetery.
She was born Dec. 6, 1888 in Mount Union, a daughter of Thomas and Martha (MacNeal) Appleby. Her father was a veteran of the Civil War.
She married Charles H. Baldwin on April 18, 1912 in a ceremony performed in the First United Presbyterian Church of Mount Union by the Rev. Chester Todd, Mr. Baldwin died in 1945.
Surviving are four children, namely Thomas A. Baldwin of San Diego, Calif.; Mrs. Earl (Mary) Krepela of Chandler, Ariz.; Mrs. Robert (Ann) Taylor of Pittsburgh and Mrs. John
(Martha) Cox of State College. There are 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Baldwin, the last surviving member of her immediate family, was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
A life-long member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Mount Union, she had taught in the primary department of the Sunday School for 12 years.
She was graduated from Mount Union High school in 1903 and from West Chester State College. She had taught in Crook, Colo. for one year and in the Newton Hamilton School
during 1946. Mrs. Baldwin belonged to the Mount Union Area Historical Society.
