MRS. B.R. BOYER SUMMONED ON SUNDAY
Survived by her husband; ten children, fifty-two grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted from the St. Frederick's church this morning (Thursday) at nine o'clock for Mrs. B. R. Boyer who passed away at her home here Sunday. Father van Zurphen will officiate at the last rites.
Mrs. Boyer had been in apparently good health up until two months ago when she was stricken with an ailment that resulted in her sudden and unexpected death.
Anna C. Staebler was born in Luxemburg, Iowa October 19th, 1870, making her exactly one month less than seventy-three years of age. She was the mother of eleven children, 10 of whom survive to mourn her loss with her husband, one brother, Gus Staebler, Williams, Iowa and one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Luther of Haverhill, Iowa, besides her fifty-two grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. The children are: Hugo, Los Angeles, Calif.; Joseph of Orting, Wash.; Leo of Cyrus; Gregor in the U. S. Navy; Mrs. Wm. Schmitz, Verndale; John of Wadena; Mrs. Lloyd Larson, Fulda; Mrs. Harris Ring, Henning; Ray of Bemidji; Edward in the U. S. Navy. One daughter, Caroline, preceded her in death in 1918.
Mrs. Boyer has been a resident of this county for thirty-one years, the last eight years being in Verndale. She was known as a good Christian mother and one whom had gained many friends who will mourn her loss.
The following paragraph was taken from an account of her mother's obituary that she had saved and preserved and lived up to: "Deceased was a woman held in high regard by her many friends. A thorough Christian wife and mother, kind and considerate to her friends and neighbors. She was beloved by all who knew her."
Mrs. Boyer was a member of the St. Frederick's Alter Society and the Verndale American Legion Auxiliary.
