DEFIANCE - Charles Louis Tisi, 59, of Defiance, died Sunday, April 8, 2001, at County Road C, west of Ohio 108 in Wauseon, as a result of an automobile accident. Born in Geneva on April 24, 1941, to Marian Tarantine and Dominic Tisi, he was married to Marie E. Machuga on April 8, 1967, and she also died as a result of the accident.
A U.S. Air Force SSG veteran, he was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and was employed at T.R.W. in Fayette, in public relations/human resource management for five years, retiring in 2000. He had also worked at Ohio Art in Bryan, Clarke-American in Bowling Green and S-K Tools in Defiance.
Surviving are two daughters, Melissa R. Tisi of Ypsilanti, Mich., and Amy Tisi of Cleveland; a brother, Albert Tisi of Chesnee, S.C.; and a sister, Rosemarie Tisi of Twinsburg.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and three brothers, William, Arthur and John Tisi. Visitation will be Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Mast-Mock Hoffman Funeral Home in Defiance, with a vigil service to be held at 7:30 p.m.
Services for Mr. and Mrs. Tisi will be Thursday at 10 a.m. at the St. Mary Catholic Church in Defiance, with Father Tim Kummerer officiating. Burial will be in the Evansport Cemetery in Defiance County. Contributed by Connie Chrisman Hatch (#46634274)
