She was born Sept. 16, 1917, in Woods County, Okla., to Charles and Iva Henricks Bliss. She married Albert Markham on Aug. 19, 1937, in Alva, Okla. He died Aug. 25, 1999.
She received her elementary and secondary education in Oklahoma. She and her husband operated a small farm in Ashland. She also worked as a cook at Southern Oregon University.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna Burzota, and Carol Tshionyi; a son, Nelson, two sisters, Irene Welty, and Betty Hoffman, and 11 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Entombment is at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Medford. Arrangements by Poole-Larsen Funeral Home in Eugene.
