Obituary for Mrs. Lucille Estes Jennings
CHESTER: Mrs. Lucille Estes Jennings, 90, died Saturday, February 1, 2014 at the Chester Regional Nursing Center. The funeral will be 2:00 PM Monday, February 3, 2014 at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. David Sealy officiating. The interment will be in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm – 2 pm at Calvary Baptist Church Sanctuary.

Born April 13, 1923 in Chester County, SC, Mrs. Jennings was the daughter of the late William Preston Estes, Sr. and Estelle Cornwell Estes. She was a graduate of Chester High School and Winthrop College. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church where she was a former WMU Leader and church clerk. Mrs. Jennings was a member of Family & Community Leadership Club, a substitute teacher for West Chester School and an active member of the Parent Teacher Association. She was preceded in death by her husband, of over sixty-four years, Kenneth E. Jennings, a brother, William P. Estes, Jr. and two sisters, Christine E. McCombs and Zeilee E. Herren.

She is survived by two sons, Gary K. Jennings and his wife Debbie of Chester and Eugene E. Jennings of Six Mile, SC; three grandchildren, Lori Jennings, Keith Jennings and Heather Terry and her husband Matt; one great grandson, Evan Luke Terry.
