A very sad accident occurred a short time ago to Silvio Casari, one of Plum Creek's prosperous ranchers, resulting in his death Wednesday evening.

About two weeks ago, he was struck by a horse, knocking him down, causing his head to strike in such a way as to render him unconscious for over an hour. After regaining consciousness, he went about as usual for several days but suffered continuous pains in his head which generally became worse and a few days ago he was placed under the doctor's care, but failed to improve, becoming unconscious on Tuesday remaining so until death relieved him on Wednesday evening.

"He leaves a wife and several small children to mourn his death who have the sympathy of the entire community in which they live.
