Edgar Sullins Vaught Jr, 86, died Jun 19, 1993 after a lengthy illness. He was born on Apr 9, 1907 to Edgar and Mary Holtsinger Vaught in Oklahoma City.

Edgar graduated from Central High School and attended Dartmouth College and graduated from Oklahoma University and Oklahoma University School of Law. He served in the US Navy, earning the rank of Lieutenant Commander. He was a member of Beta Theta Pi Fraternity and The Men's Dinner Club and was a life long member of St Luke's Methodist Church.

Preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Mrs M Stone Morris; his nephew, Wayman J Thompson Jr. He is survived by his sister, Mrs Wayman J Thompson; and niece, Mrs John W Bentley both of OKC and a niece, Mrs W Rowland Denman of Edmond; his cousin, James D Vaught of Yukon; 3 grand nieces, Mrs Robert DeGraffenreid of OKC, Amy Vaught Denman of Seattle WA, and Susan Bancroft Thompson of Arlington VA; a grand nephew, John M Bentley and a great grand niece, Madeline Blake Bentley of OKC.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, Jun 21 at 1 pm at St Luke's United Methodist Church. The family suggests donations be made to St Luke's United Methodist Church or a charity of your choice instead of flowers.
