He was Killed in Action while fighting the enemy in North Korea on November 2, 1950. Private First Class Kelly was awarded the Purple Heart, the Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service Medal and World War II Medals. Served with Hq & Hq 2nd. Bn, 5th. Cav. Rgt. 1st. Cav. Div. John Lee was KIA November 02, 1950 & his body was never recovered. As far as is known his brothers & sisters are all gone.
